Beautiful and Functional
I purchased a single step stool with a handle and a two step stool from an awesome store called Out of the Woods, where they were very knowlegeable and helpful. I have been very pleased with both, they are both beautiful and functional which makes me very happy. Thanks much.
I did place an order for an 1842 rocker with a dealer nearby. It arrived last night and is GORGEOUS - even more so than I remembered from seeing it in the gallery. The packaging was incredible - I've seldom seen anything so carefully packaged. Thank you all so much for this wonderful addition to our home.

Doug und Dan - schönen Dank für Ihre Arbeit! WA Mitchell machst die beste Möbel der Welt.
SIMPLY THE BEST
We have well over 10 pieces from W A Mitchell - chairs, table, desk, barstools, office chairs - and they are simply the best. The craftsmanship is the finest you will find anywhere and at reasonable prices; this combination of quality and price equals superb value. We have looked at and have the means to buy Thos Moser items (which are high quality, but a much higher price), but we prefer the designs and equal or better quality of W A Mitchell handcrafted pieces. Everyone who visits our home compliments and is intigued by the unique beauty of the Mitchell pieces. They are quintisentially the best of Maine artisanship. And they're the nicest people and a delight to talk to. We just placed another order with them.
Skilled Maine Craftsmen Still Exist
I picked up our chair this week with the repaired spindle. Looks like new. And, it appears you buffed out a scratch in the chair seat. It's gratifying to know there are still some skilled Maine craftsmen out there. Still can't
believe there is no charge. Your warranty surely exceeds LL Bean's. Again, many thanks!
Dream Comes True
I'm sitting on one of our new Royal side chairs and am feeling so thankful, and cozy. Thank you for working with me and my husband to make it possible for us to own two of your chairs. The dealer you referred us to was so wonderful to work with! We feel blessed. We absolutely LOVE them. They are so comfie and cute and we can't believe we have them!
We look forward to adding two more to our table some day. Have I mentioned how much I love them? I LOVE them!
Thanks again. You helped make our dreams true! We have been wishing to own Mitchell chairs for years. The desire for them never faded.
Packed for NASA
We are seated at our new 42" Round Cherry Pedestal Table in our Royal Side Chairs having a bowl of soup and all is good with the world! The dining set arrived in perfect condition. Tell whoever packed these beautiful pieces of art that they could likely get a job with NASA.
Thank you for your professional courtesy in handling our order.
The Stools are perfect. Many thanks.

One Chair Leads to Nine More
The Temple Side Chair arrived yesterday. We are delighted!. I really appreciate your timeliness and wonderful craftsmanship. To that end, we would like to order five more Side Chairs and four Arm Chairs(cherry and maple...with the maple spindles and legs clear). Nine more chairs total.
Once again, my thanks for a marvelous product and exceptional customer service.

Rotary Commemorative Chair
I received my Rotary Commemorative Temple Harvest Arm Chair by FedEx Freight yesterday morning in perfect condition. I am extremely pleased with the service and efficiency in which my order was processed by you and your company. I was also very impressed with the packaging of the chair itself - it was extremely professional.
Once again, thank you.

Retrofitting Old Office Chair
I currently have an antique Oak Desk and with that I have an Oak Captain's Chair. The desk is fine and so are the seat and back of the Oak Captain's Chair. The problem is the metal hardware below the seat is old - probably 45 to 50 years old and I can't get it repaired or rebuilt anymore. Also, the old chairs had only four legs.
What I would like to purchase from you is the metal hardware below the seat with the five legs and the five rollers. This probably is somewhat of an unusual request, but I need to ask before I purchase a new chair. I have owned, and used, this oak desk and chair set for 33 years and did all the refinishing myself. I have kept the Oak Finish in as good a condition as I can. As you can tell, I'm attached to it and want to fix it so I can use it another 30 years. Any help you can be is most appreciated.
Here is the Oak Chair that needs your expert attention. Thank you for being willing to fix it for me.
again sometime later........
I picked up the chair yesterday! Thanks for doing this for me - I know it is a hassle - I sure do appreciate it. The chair will do another 30 years, the question is will I. Thank you very much.
Engraved Cribbage Board & Long Handled Step Stool
I don't know if Uncle Ed has been able to get to his thank-you notes yet, but he was very surprised (I did not tell him about our communication) and pleased with the delightful gift of the personalized engraving on his cribbage board you sent. We all enjoyed passing it around and discovering all its features and details.
Also, my friend is having a great time showing off her Long Handled Step Stool to all the visitors to her new home -- when she is not actually standing on it. Because she has had some eye and ear difficulties that affect her balance, she noted immediately that the long handle makes it possible for her to hold onto the stool as she steps up - making her feel much more secure. I see the handle as a convenience; she views it as a necessity now!
Thanks from both of them!

The Rotary Foundation
I am writing to thank you for the creation of the Rotary Commemorative Temple Harvest Arm Chair for our Rotary District's silent auction. All proceeds (100%) benefited the Rotary Foundation, which continues to allow 1.2 million Rotarians to continue to address hunger, health, literacy, and water issues in their own community and around the world.
Just so you know, I think you hit a grand slam with displaying the chairs in the Silent Auction Room as many attendees sat in them and realized not only the beautiful craftsmanship, but how comfortable they are as well.
In closing, on behalf of our Rotary District, we truly appreciated your support of the Rotary Foundation.
I received the spindle you sent for the repair of my Temple Arm chair and I must tell you I am very grateful for both the part and your helpful advice. Installation was very easy once I was able to feel comfortable about replacement vs repair of the spindle.
Thank you again for your great customer service.
A belated but heartfelt thank you for the fabulous display board for our Hall of Fame honorees. It is up for all to see at the Museum and travels to various presentations.
All of us connected with the Ski Museum are genuinely appreciative of your superb talents in asssembling the display that will be a focal point of the Museum for years to come.
We're delighted with our new dining room table and chairs.

This is to convey my thanks for your craftsmanship. I am the proud custodian of two pieces you made in November. I enclose a picture of them in their new home.
You must get notes like this all the time. I'm happy to add mine to the pile.
Rotary Chair #18
I received my Rotary chair #18 yesterday. It was in excellent condition without any marks, even though it was shipped all the way to Texas. It's a wonderful chair, the right shade and construction. It's also very sturdy and I shall use it almost every day. Thanks again for your quality work.
Ninety-Two Year Old Rotarian Celebrated
I wanted you to know we gave our good friend, 92 year old, 50 years in Rotary, Mr. J.B., his rocking chair last night at a wonderful dinner celebration. Mr. B. was a wood shop teacher for the high school prior to his retirement, and continues to this day to be active with his woodworking skills. So when I described how we had found a great woodworker to make something for him (instead of his making something for others) for a change, he was particularly delighted. We brought the chair over to him right next to the dinner table where he was seated. He immediately got up from the table so he could "try out" his rocker. It fit him like a glove...you wouldn't beleive it! He sat in the rocker for the rest of the program, loving every minute of it! It simply looked like he'd been sitting in that chair his whole life. Remember how much President Kennedy loved his rocking chair? I think that's the way this rocker is going to be for Mr. B. He was absolutely delighted.
Thank you so much again for the fine craftsmanship and the quick turn-around time. You made Mr. B.'s celebration a wonderful success.
